We started a new tradition this year. We went up north and cut down our own Christmas tree. Our friends started doing it a couple years ago, but for some reason we were never that interested. I personally don't have a huge opinion about real vs. fake trees. But we thought it would be a great tradition that our kids would love. This year it didn't work out that we could take all the kids and make a weekend out of it and stay at the cabin. But for now on that is what we will do. I'm really excited about it! I love our tree, it is bare but it is beautiful!

Oh and I'm kinda in love with this ruffle tree skirt I made. Thank you pinterest! It definitely was a time consuming project but I'm happy how it turned out.
The kids are beyond themselves with all the fun stuff christmas time brings. Whenever we are in the car you better belive they make sure the Christmas songs are on. And they are a little obsessed with pointing out all the lights. We put up our train last night and they all just sat forever watching it. It's going to be a fun year! I love that my kids are getting old enough to really enjoy these things.

First off, why does Ryan look so angry in the picture with me? Second, your tree looks awesome - I'm kinda mad that you stole ours. ;-) And third, the tree skirt turned out great! Who's car were you driving in when you made that? ;-)
Do you have two trees? The one with the train is not the same as the one from the forest, right? Or am I losing my noggin? Regardless, such a fun tradition! Looks like a blast! And I think the tree skirt is amazing! Good job!!
