From our family to yours

Merry Christmas!! I just love this time of year! This was our alternate Christmas card. Not really, Mike loves this idea though. Pretty cheesy but I have to admit nothing beats an adult size pj. When we saw these we both just started cracking up in the store. Had to get them! I promptly returned mine because although totally comfortable and cozy, definitely not worth the money. Mike on the otherhand assures me that he will get plenty of use of his onsie.

If your ever in the neighborhood, stop by our house and this is how you will be promptly greeted. Hot chocolate and all!

This past weekend we went to a good old ugly Christmas sweater party. Sooo fun!! Mike of course opted for the onsie. Not sure if it counts as a sweater but it's pretty close.

A Day at the Park

Life for me lately has been pretty busy. I feel like I don't have enough time to do anything anymore. I started watching a friend from my ward's 2 kids a couple times a week. The kids are so well behaved which helps out a ton. Usually it's only like 2 times a week but lately it's more like 4 times a week. This defintely keeps me on my toes but it works out perfectly since I no longer will be working for my mom due to my parents mission in Jan. So a couple weeks ago when my friend Tiffany wanted to celebrate my birthday by having a picnic at the park I was more than excited. It really was so refreshing!!
The boys loved feeding the ducks and running wild in the park.

I love these two kids. They really make my day with their corky personalities and sweet spirits. I truely am blessed. My all time favorite thing right now is when they play and laugh together. Nothing beats it!

Little miss Kennidi is no longer a baby. She is all toddler, which is so sad for me. She's already ten months. She has figured out that if she wants to keep up with her brother it's so much faster to walk. So she is crusing all over the house. Don't be fooled by her sweet smile, she is becoming quite the diva. She knows exactly how to get whatever she wants. It's funny she will totally fake cry when playing toys with Parker to try and get him in trouble.

Photobucket

Parker has recently found a new best friend. This ABC puzzle. He seriously plays with it non stop. He loves puzzles and now that he knows all the letters he can't get enough of it, as long as I am there to tell him what the next letter is so he doesn't get too frustrated. He's pretty impressive he totally gets his photographic memory from his dad. Oh and to make things more complicated at my house we are in the process of potty training Parker. I kept putting it off because I wanted to wait for the perfect time when we both could completely focus. But let's face it that's never going to happen. My dilemma right now is that he will go everytime I take him which is every 40 min. But he still won't tell me that he has to go.Please help me if you have any suggestions on potty training I would love that!

Halloween 09

Halloween this year was so much fun for our family. The kids dressed up as Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. Thanks to my crafty friend Melissa we were able to make the costumes. I think they turned out pretty cute.
Photobucket
To go along with the kids theme, Mike and I dressed up as Wendy and a random pirate. If you can't tell I put all my time and effort into the kids costumes.

Photobucket

Parker loved dressing up and going trick or treating. This is the first year that he has actually caught onto the idea. The only problem was him barging into people's houses and grabbing two handfuls of candy from their bowels.

Tinkerbell in the 90's. I have to say this was one of my all time favorite costumes. I wanted to be this every year. Don't you love that perm!

P. S I'm in love with another man.

Jakob from So You Think You Can Dance has to be one of the most talented dancers ever. He is definitely an early favorite of mine and if he doesn't make it to atleast the top four, I just might ban this show forever.

Four Years!!

We celebrated 4 years yesterday! It was a great anniversary, I loved reminicing with Mike about the past four years together.

Some of the things that I have come to learn and love about him are:

He enjoys a good faint. He's been know to faint in awkward situations such as temple sealings, getting his blood drawn, just to name a few.

He knows more about budgeting and finances than anyone I know. He is always thinking of a ways to save money. Just recently he started riding his bike to work (20 miles there and back)to get a good workout and of course to save gas money.

He has a fear of people touching his belly button.

He's an avid sports fan.
Photobucket
He loves the outdoors. He really is a man's man who loves camping, fishing and shooting guns. However is new favorite song to sing and dance to is Taylor Swifts You Belong With Me.( I love watching this, soo funny).
Photobucket

He has dabbled into male modeling. Ok not really, but I think he would have had a great career.

Photobucket

One of his favorite things is cuddling with the kids. In fact if he had things his way they would sleep in our bed. NOT HAPPENING!

Photobucket

He loves a good river trip with his brothers dressed like pirates. He even got me to go when I was eight months pregnant. In fact he says he wants our third child to be born on the river.

Photobucket

He is ultra sensative to smells. Except for the situation below, he ALWAYS smells everything.

Photobucket

He has such a fun loving personality, it's hard for some to understand at first, but once you know him you can't help but smile.

Photobucket

Photobucket

He is the Number One Dad! He even has a hat to prove it.

I mean honestly how could you not love this face (handle bar mustache and all)

"Road Trip"

Mike was desperately craving a family road trip, so for the past few weeks he has been using his new best friend (Priceline) to get a super deal on a resort somewhere. Well because we didn't want to spend much money but wanted to stay somewhere nice, instead of staying at the destation of our choice(Sedona or Flagstaff) we ended up staying right here in good old Scottsdale. It was a rough drive but we made it in one piece. At first I had my doubts about this "staycation" to Scottsdale, but really we had such a fun relaxing weekend. I guess it's just really nice to get away sometime no matter where you go.
The boys were fighting over Kennidi's attention in our room.

Photobucket

This is picture is not posed at all. I had to capture this because I have this joke with Mike that he pampers our kids way too much. In the mornings when Parker comes in our bed he will go to great lengths to make sure he is comfortable. Even if it means taking my pillow from me so Parker can have 4 or 5 surrounding him. Got to love him!
Photobucket

On Saturday we went to the Wildlife World and Aquarium. This was are first time taking the kids to any type of zoo and Parker just loved every minute of it. He loved seeing all the animals and coping their noises. And no I'm not pregnant again although this really unflattering picture shows otherwise. Believe me I did not want to post this picture but it was the only one of our family together, so what the heck!
Photobucket

Kennidi enjoyed cruising around in the stroller and being outside. Of course we just so happend to pick the complete worst day to go because it was the hottest day that it has been in weeks. Lucky us!!
Photobucket

They had a lot of cool things to do with the animals. Parker loved feeding the birds but we had to fight him from eating the apple himself.
Photobucket

Photobucket

I almost fed Kennidi to the sting rays when she was cranky. That's terrible!! No of course their stingers were off. It was pretty crazy touching these slimy sting rays.
Photobucket

Not to mention feeding the giraffes with their outrageously long tounges. Eeek!
Photobucket

Just Lovely. I would love to tell you that Parker is just super smart and he is mimicking the monkey but the monkey's didn't do this.
Photobucket

This is Kennidi's new favorite thing to do besides clapping her hands, waving bye bye and saying ahh ohh. She is constantly sticking out her cute little tounge. I love this little girl, she cracks me up!

Photobucket

Parker is attempting to be the sweet big brother that he is and Kennidi just isn't having it.

I can't believe I have a 2 year old!

My little boy is getting so old. I love my little Parkie he is always making me laugh with with his cute sense of humor. We celebrated his birthday with a Handy Manny Birthday Party. For those of you who aren't familar, Handy Manny is a cartoon on Disney that Parker loves to watch. For the last couple months we have been talking to him about his party and he loves saying it. It's pretty cute. The party turned out great. Special thanks to Tiffany for all of her cute design ideas and to both of our familes for all the help. It was a success! Mike even dressed up for the occasion as "Handy Manny."

The cake, my pride and joy. We got this idea for a tool box cake off the internet. I think it turned out pretty cute. I want to start a tradition of always making a cake for my kids birthdays. We'll see if I stick too it.
Photobucket

Once again Parker suprised me by not chowing down his cake. He loves sweeets but both birthdays he just kinda sits there and plays with it. He loved digging all the tools into the cake.

Photobucket

The party really got off the hook when we started "Stretch Limbo" Stretch is one of Manny's tools.

My favorite brother in law Austin let us borrow his bounce toy. The kids had a blast.
